Use "necessary optimisation" for meshes, textures and animations. If you use Wrye Bash, instead of installing the mod, unpack it to a project and process the following steps in the project's folder, then re-pack it and install it.Ģ) Use Cathedral Assets Optimiser (CAO) to optimise all meshes, textures and havok animations in one click. I recommend MO2 for the ability to process the mod's folder in a quick and tidy manner, Vortex may allow that as well but I don't use it. Very quick guide:ġ) Install the LE mod with your mod manager. But barring that - and note that not all mods that depend on SKSE do have dlls of their own - you can port anything. Either the author provided the source to the dll and you're knowledgeable enough to change its dependency to SKSE64 and recompile it, or you can't port it 100%. When you have a mod that depends on SKSE and has a dll, that's when you have to think about it twice. Papyrus is 100% compatible between LE and SE. Most mods with scripts *can* be ported by just saving in the CK and optimising assets. Can i ask for a patch for the SE version? Or is not necesary? Since i am a noob at modding and read the LE mod had scripts, and i think mods with scripts cant be ported just saving in CK (im not sure please correct me if i am wrong). Patch is not compatible with EmperorW's Save The Dark Brotherhood - Skyrim Special Edition, which I haven't tried to date."
